The Stereo Hi-Fi audio balun (M-SHFB) allows unbalanced line level stereo analogue audio to be transmitted via Category 5e/6 unshielded copper twisted pair (UTP) in a point-to-point connection.

Introduction

The Stereo Hi-Fi audio balun (M-SHFB) allows unbalanced line level stereo analogue audio to be transmitted via
Category 5e/6 unshielded copper twisted pair (UTP) in a point-to-point connection. 

The product is designed for audio applications where full-range, hi-fidelity audio frequency response is required.


Used in pairs, the Stereo Hi-Fi Balun eliminates costly and bulky coaxial cable, allowing audio equipment to be
connected or moved within a structured cabling environment.

Installation Process

1. Plug the left and right RCA connectors of the transmit Balun into the audio output of the source component.

2. Plug the left and right RCA connectors from the receive Balun into your desired input component.

3. Insert the CAT5 cable into both ends of the Baluns. You may use standard EIA 568A/B Termination.

NOTE: Baluns are interchangeable for transmit or receive functions.
